Christmas

Our family always enters in the room in age order. Val Dean was so excited to be first!
Of all the toys Val Dean got for Christmas these two cars were defiantly the fav. Of course Val bought them last minute on Christmas Eve.
The poor man's Elmo. I can't belieive how expensive the talking Elmo's are!
Daddy and Viv. She is always held. She is a little high maintenance and Daddy can't stand to not give her want she wants.Grandpa and Viv just chillin.
Cousin Nollie and Val Dean got matching dumpster trucks.

Vivien Grace Dalling Blessing

Yesterday we blessed our little angel. All of Val's siblings but one were in town for Christmas, so we decided to bless her a little early. We blessed her at my parents house because she is still so young and I didn't want to take her to church yet.

Vivien Grace was named after my grandmother Grace Murdoch. She made this bonnet for my baby blessing, she also made the blanket behind her, which is pretty amazing considering she is nearly blind.

Snapshots

Here are some more recent snapshots of our little Vivien Grace.

And they say newbors don't smile! I know it's not the greatest pic but to catch a newborn smile you need a super-duper fast shutterspeed.

She is so skinny has has her moms never-ending torso.

Announcing Vivien Grace Dalling

Vivien Grace was born on December 5th at 6:04. She was a skinny 6lbs 15oz and 18in long. We got to the hospital around 1:00pm dilated to a 3.5, at 4:00 pm I hadn't changed a bit, then at 5:30pm I threw up and apparently that threw me to a 7.5 immediately, 30 minutes later I was about to 10. After three small pushes our sweet little girl was here. It was a fabulous labor! Couldn't have asked for anything better. She is healthy and absolutely adorable. She looked like a c-section baby, her head and face were perfect.

Val Dean is doing considerably well with the new addition. He has yet to call her by name. He always refers to her as"my baby sister". He is really sweet to her but like most adoring sibling, in her face a lot.

We are so excited that she is here and can't wait for everyone to see how cute she is.

Some More Cute Pics

Val Dean loves to drive the car. Every time we get in the car he says "I wanna drive, i do it. I drive the chummy". We are not sure what "chummy" means but he is consistant about saying it when we are getting in the car and we know it has something to do with the steering area of the car.
Such a handsome little guy!

Mommy and Val Dean at a park. He is obsessed with going to the park, however he is really too scared to go down the slides by himself.

Daddy and Val Dean having fun at the park on family night!

We are attempting to potty train. Val Dean loves to use the potty but never tells me that he needs to go unless I am changing his diaper. Then he says "I wanna push on the potty".

Val Dean calls this hat a "cool dude hat". I guess he learned it from one of his many admiring uncles. Val Dean looks so much like my little brother Mathew. Their baby pics are so much alike it crazy.

Hallowen

For Halloween this year we went to a cabin up Provo Canyon. It was really fun and there were lots of yummy treats! Val was Don Johnson from Miami Vice, Val Dean was a scary but very cute Vampire and I has a pregnant mommy.

A bun in the oven, get it haha!

Sweet lil' Vampire

My sisiter brittany was a 80s prom queen. Her hair was great, it was so huge, and looked just like the 80s girls.

Pregnancy Requests!

I have had a lot of people ask for pregnancy pics, so to all of you.....

I am 33 weeks yesterday.
This pregnancy is going great. After about 24 weeks I stoped throwing up daily. I seem to be getting bigger every day. I feel like I have a 30 pound weight in my belly.
Just in case you didn't hear, we are having a little girl. We have not picked out a name yet, but I figure I have another month to decide. We have an ultrasound this Friday, so we are excited to see her again.
I am due on the 16th of December, but I have an inducement date on the 11th of December because I don't want to be in the hospital so close to Christmas. My doctor worries that I may come early because they have found that I have a heart shaped uterus, but Val Dean was full-term so I am not worried.

Little People Halloween Party

This last weekend we took Val Dean to a Halloween party for the local Little People in Utah. They have parties fairly often and although Val Dean is too young to understand any differences, he always enjoys a party. He loves to be around other kids and of course loves the treats at parties. We decided to dress him up as a Vampire, Val tries to teach him to tell people "I want to suck your blood". I think that is going to be a weird phrase for him to learn when Halloween is over. When he saw himself in the mirror after putting on the costume he said "oh it's so cute". ( Val's not sure which phrase is scarier.)

Val Dean's favorite part of the party was decorating cookies with mommy.

Let me restate the above, his favorite part was actually eating the decorated cookie.

Finally a girl my size! This little girl is a few weeks younger than Val Dean. She is so cute, Val Dean is going to have to keep tabs on these girls.

Although he is not doing himself any favors by stealing her treats!

Needless to say Val Dean was popular with all the girls!

We all had a blast. Little kids in costumes are so cute normally, but when Little little kids are dressed up it's beyond adorable.

Rexburg Fun

Fun in Rexburg with Grandma and Grandpa Dalling and cousin Payton in Rexburg.
Val Dean loves shoes, especially his Crocks. Cousin Payton's shoes are no exception.

Earlier this summer ( I know I am way behind on blogging!) while visiting Val's parents we took Val dean a fun splash park in Rexburg. He absolutely loved it. He was too scared to go down the slides but loved all the fountains.
Val Dean and Daddy after a lot of fun.
He kept trying to get a drink but as you can imagine a little too much water at once.
Got to love those crazy smiles!
Val Dean and his cousin Payton after swimming was over. So much play just wore Val Dean out. He laid on his Grandma's shoulder for probably 20 minutes.
